A horrible horrible day at the race tracks today. I could not shift into second gear for my life. I don't know if I was nervous, or if I was trying too hard, or an act of GOD prevented me...
It could have possibly been the my worse experience at down the 1320 to date if it weren't for the fact that I won three out of the four races I ran.
I don't know what the first car was.. it was some classic muscle car that was running like crap. His car was faster, but I beat him off the line and kept my lead. Then I raced an Audi TT, and the driver either didn't know what he was doing or he sucked at taking off. His car was faster too, but even with my misshift, I managed to beat him. The third run was against a Camaro SS, who rightly should have creamed me, reversed over my creamed body, and then creamed me again before I reached the finish line, but I guess his luck was worse then mine. After a crappy launch, he just gave up and coasted down the track.
The bads outweight the goods in this case, but being able to say I beat a camaro takes away a little pain of not living up to my potential.
